Full Time (1.0) Provisional Psychologist (Provisional Term)
As a member of a dynamic trans-disciplinary team, you will provide individual and group counselling to Autistic individuals, and their families in-person or via telehealth.
Intensive training and ongoing mentorship from a supportive team will be provided regarding SASS’ philosophy, evidence based practices and modifications when counselling Autistic individual with various mental health concerns (e.g., cognitive behavoural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy), neurodiversity affirming practices, and supporting wholistic service provision.
We offer flexible hours within the work week (i.e., Monday through Friday); however, a minimum of two (2) evenings per week will be required. Benefits as well as ongoing professional development opportunities, are available. Travel within the city of Calgary and surrounding area may be required.
Qualifications: A Masters or PhD in Psychology; designation as a Provisional Psychologist from the College of Alberta Psychologist, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Applicants with previous experience working with a neurodiverse population, graduate level counselling courses, training in modalities for treating suicidality (e.g., CAMS, DBT), and experience across the age range are preferred.

Full Time Early Intervention Therapist (EIT)
Our Early Intervention Program requires enthusiastic and motivated Early Intervention Therapists to join our team!
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing direct support to preschool aged children within the SASS classrooms, possible integrated environments, and in the child and family’s home. Transporting children daily with the use of a personal vehicle to/from classrooms/school and the child’s home is a requirement (car seats and training provided).
The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, exceptional time management skills, enjoy working with children, be able to work within a multidisciplinary team and be familiar with Society for Autism Support and Services’ philosophy of care.
REQUIREMENTS
- Use of personal vehicle: transportation of children required
- Fluent in English (verbally and written)
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Clear Police and Child Welfare Checks
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Status

QUALIFICATIONS

Full Time (1.0) Speech Language Pathologist
This position commences mid-late July 2023. As a member of a dynamic trans-disciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to provide consultation and support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, their families and program staff within a variety of home, community, preschool and specialized settings. Intensive training and ongoing mentorship from a supportive team will be provided regarding SASS’ philosophy, including the use of AAC, Naturalistic Developmental Behavioural interventions, focus on engagement and individualized learning. We offer flexible hours, a competitive benefits package, and ongoing professional development opportunities. Travel within the city of Calgary and surrounding area is expected.
Qualifications: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a recognized University; a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. The successful applicant must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Part-Time Permanent Morning Wake-Up Staff
Hours of work:
Monday-Friday 6:30 am-9:30 am
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Out-of-Home Living Supervisor, the Morning Wake Up staff will implement individualized programming in the areas of behaviour management, communication, safety/pre-vocational skills, and daily living skills.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have strong skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, motivation, and teamwork.
Enrollment in a Human Services Diploma or Degree from a recognized college or university is preferred. Experience working with children and/or children with disabilities and a current First Aid/CPR certificate are considered to be an asset.
