Mental Health Across the Autism Spectrum Counselling Service
If appropriate, services may be provided virtually. To be suitable for Telepsychology services, you must:
- Be located in the province of Alberta;
- Have access to a computer, laptop, tablet, or phone on which you can use the Zoom video-conferencing application (i.e., supports audio and video requirements);
- Have access to a quiet, private space;
- Have concerns that are appropriate to address via Telepsychology (to be assessed by the counsellor).
Our specialized service is provided by clinicians with expertise in Autism and mental health. We use evidence-based therapies to support your goals.
Who is it for?
Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)/Autistic individuals age 10+ and their family members. In order to benefit from counselling, individuals must have the ability to talk with a counsellor about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Our Psychology Counselling Services
Specialized counselling with a Registered Psychologist or Provisional Registered Psychologist can help address many issues that impact your mental health. Utilizing therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Behaviour Modification. Therapeutic activities are modified to account for the unique learning differences that people with Autism tend to experience.

- Concurrent
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD);
- Mood
symptoms (e.g., anxiety, depression);
- Emotional
regulation difficulties (e.g., anger management);

identity and other gender-related concerns;
- Eating
disturbances;

image disturbances;
- Self-esteem
concerns;

skills;
- School/study
skills (e.g., organization and planning);

Specialized counselling with an Occupational Therapist can help address many issues that impact our day. We focus on mental health that may impact our self-care routines, participation in leisure activities or our productivity level. Occupational Therapy counselling services are provided by a clinician with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mental health and daily functioning.

Speech-Language Pathology counselling services are provided by a clinician with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and mental health.

It is important to us to ensure our services are accessible. Our fees are assessed on a sliding scale according to your household income. That means, your fees for service will be based on what you can afford.
