Full-Time Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist

Society for Autism Support and Services requires an enthusiastic and motivated Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist to fill a full-time permanent position.

The start date is August 26, 2026.

As a member of our Psychology Department, you will provide consultative services to children, youth, families, and program staff across our Out of Home Living, School Age, and Early Support programs. Core responsibilities include:

• Developing intervention strategies to address disruptive or unsafe behaviours
• Delivering individual and group programming
• Facilitating the development of self-help, play, social, and cognitive/academic skills within a multidisciplinary team
• Completing comprehensive psychological assessments (i.e., cognitive, academic, achievement, and diagnostic assessments); training can be provided
• Conducting ongoing training for parents, agency staff, and others regarding the principles, rationale, and strategies necessary to address specific behavioural and developmental concerns
• Supervising or mentoring Behavioural Consultants in their work

The role involves work in diverse settings (family homes, community locations, SASS preschool, and our Out of Home Living Program) and requires flexible hours (e.g., daytimes, after-school, some evenings). Access to a personal vehicle is required.

Qualifications:

• A. or MSc or PhD in Psychology
• Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists

• Clear Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Intervention Record Check
• First Aide and CPR certification
• Understanding of Natural Developmental Behavioural Intervention
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with persons with autism spectrum disorders or neurodiversity
